Brooch holders in 5 wordless steps.
OKAY! Now words. There are 5 of them, but I couldn't get a good picture of all of them since they're in a little alcove. I got the frames at the dollar store ($5.36) and the fabric out of the red tag bin at Joanne's ($2 a yard, but I only used 1/4 of a yard so $.53). I hung up the frames with those sticky hooks by 3M cause I didn't want to drill holes in the wall ($3.46). The batting I had left over from a project, so I didn't count that at all. Grand total for this project? $9.35! The frames were my FAVORITE part of this project- they're aluminum and so, so cute. If I had to do it over again I'd use a solid fabric to display them better. This was easy, and got them off my dresser.

Prompt: Lesson learned. What was the best thing you learned about yourself this past year? And how will you apply that lesson going forward?
Honestly, I didn't learn much about myself that I didn't already know. I'm still stubborn, still silly and hopelessly in love with AC. I fully intend to never go back to retail- I LOVED my coworkers to the ends of the earth, but I can't stand customers. I can cook, but I bake better than I cook. I still need to go back to school. So on and so forth...
