Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?
Well, the first half of the year, I was super involved with a wedding website with an active board community. But the boards got mean, y'all. They became snarky and rude and jumped on people who made valid points and you know what I don't have patience, time, or energy for? That kind of nonsense. There's a reason I didn't join the Knot boards. Frankly I'm really sad about it. That being said, I LOVE the girls I met through that website originally. I still read their blogs, and talk to them on Twitter, and they're amazing, awesome girls that have become my own little community online. So there's the new community! And the community that surrounds my blog- the people I've met through it, are following their blogs, etc. etc.
This next year, I want to increase my blog readership, I guess, and find more blogs that I LOVE to read! Most importantly, I want to live in my New Haven community and get involved here. I want friends and dinner parties and church groups and photography friends and any and everything involved with being IN a community. I did that a little in Lexington volunteering with the elementary school, and I'd like to continue that in New Haven. Exhausted, but community is worth writing about!

Same. In 2011, I'm all about deepening connections and relationships. Life is much more interesting that way. :)
I hope you find the communities you're searching for in 2011. :)
