Brain dump.

HEY! If you like to read, go look at the list of books I want to read and tell me if there are any you're interested in reading with me- I'm bored and need mental stimulation past what the internet offers. I need paper and ink. Before I forget how to read a book.

Does anyone else have a MONSTER to do list this week? Trying to tie up so many loose ends before Christmas is overwhelming, frankly. Add that to the fact that this is my first REAL blog post since starting Reverb10, I'm feeling some pressure. Don't be fooled by appearances; some of the things on my list will take HOURS to do, like printing out my dad's houseplans. There's something like 100 of them and there are 4 pages on each one. I should have started earlier but I like to procrastinate. And this isn't everything that's on it, I keep adding stuff that I'm forgetting. Anyway, here's my creative to do list:

Hoping I can get AC to go with me later this week to buy our ugly ornament. One of my blogging/twitter friends has a tradition of buying an ugly/ridiculous ornament every year and I LOVED that idea. We can put them all on this:

Yeah, we have a fiber optic Christmas tree (it's only like, 2 feet tall thank goodness). It's AC's. He LOVES fiber optic stuff with all his heart- my mom even surprised him with fiber optic wands as our grand exit at the wedding. I do not like fiber optic stuff, but AC loves this tree so much that is came back with us from Lexington. Fiber optic: 1, K: 0. I don't really sound that deep or that despondent in real life- I was super exhausted and trying to stay up with AC while he finished his paper. It was a losing battle and I went to bed about 5 minutes after I took this.

My biggest accomplishment yesterday was getting the dishes done. Between making dinner, baking 2 loaf cakes, eating said cake and breakfast dishes, there were alot. Not even half of them (the rest were scattered around the kitchen):

But they all got done. I bought these sugar cubes in Paris at La Grande Epicerie and I love them. They're in the shape of a card suite: hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs. They're great portion control for tea, since I'm usually tempted to dump the whole sugar contained in my mug, but they're also just really really cute:

And just for laughs, I present to you one of my most favorite pictures in the world. It totally cracks me up when I see it, and I looked just like the little girl when I was a toddler:

No idea where it came from originally since it's all over the internet, but it's my favorite.
